- What are spreadsheets? How are spreadsheets used in business and at home? (Spreadsheets
are used to store and communicate numbers. You can also use spreadsheets to do
"what-if" scenarios.)
- What are the most popular spreadsheet applications?
- How do you start the spreadsheet program?
- How is the display organized? (Rectangle array of cells.)
- How do you reference cells?
- How do you navigate around?
- How do you enter data?
- What kinds of data can go in a cell? (Text, numbers, formulas)
- How do you enter each type of data? (Don't forget, you must proceed a formula with
an '='s)
- How do you select one or more cells?

- Understand how to enter and format the three types of spreadsheet data: numbers, text,
and formula.
- Be able to identify the parts of a simple spreadsheet: raw data, reference numbers, and
